There are many good books that are also available, which discuss GOLDEN RETRIEVER GENERAL INFORMATION.

BREED STANDARD

LOCAL BREEDERS

The Greater Pittsburgh Golden Retriever Club strongly encourages responsible breeding and offers puppy referral service for those people interested in acquiring a Golden Retriever. Litters are referred by our organization only after the breeder has provided eyes and hip clearances on both parents and we strongly recommend elbow and heart clearances also. This is in keeping with the national standard set up by the Golden Retriever Club of America.
